  • 9th and Glebe Update

    Time for an update! Arlington County Department of Environmental Services continues to move forward with the intersection improvement project for 9th St S and S Glebe Road. This project originated through the Master Transportation Plan, community-reported transportation safety concerns, crash data, and the results of the Vision Zero High Injury Network Safety Audit of Glebe Road. With this project, our goal is to improve safety and access at the intersection of Glebe Road and 9th Street S for people walking biking and driving.

     

    We’ve taken the feedback shared during the spring 2024 engagement, along with planning guidance and data, to create a draft concept design for the project. We have multiple ways to learn more about the draft concept and share your feedback:

    Drop-In Open House

    • We invite you to participate in our in-person engagement opportunity happening Thursday, December 5, 2024, from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM at Walter Reed Community Center in Multipurpose Rooms B&C.

    Online Feedback

    • Learn more and share your feedback online (available December 6)

     

    This engagement will discuss project goals, how the street is currently used, what we heard from community members and how it informed draft concept. The input gathered from this engagement will be used to refine goals and continue to develop our design options.
